1. Australian politicians (of all kinds) regularly get plastered together in Canberra. Much of the drama is for the media and the faceless men. “The show must go on”. Albeit internal politics is different.
2. Vance+ the faceless men is scary. Not benign. The buffoonery of the Chetos master is a good distraction. They use chaos to their advantage.
On the facts I think Musk is absolutely correct. So are Thomas Massie and Rand Paul. This is a complete disaster of a bill. It is a colossal betrayal by Trump, pure and simple.
Full of typical beltway insider pork barrel spending, completely fiscally irresponsible, in many ways the precise opposite of what Trump voters voted for. Trump and Johnson should be ashamed of themselves for backing it.
Unfortunately there seems to be some kind of cult forming around Trump, where critical thinking is not permitted. Whenever you point out how opposed to Trump's election platform this bill is on almost every count, all you hear is "that's disloyal!"
Very interesting take on this. I guess it remains to be seen what the eventual outcome is. Two men who love the limelight. They remind me of my brothers growing up.
It is all theatre!
Donald was to have hitched a ride from New York to Florida on the Lolita Express and he was said to have had Epstein thrown out of
Mar-a-lago for inappropriate behaviour.
I believe that is the extent of it.
There will be a call now to release that “list”.
Elon also “needs” to distance himself from Trump for business and banking purposes.
I think they are both playing games.
And having a whole lot of fun doing so!

Thanks for writing a thought provoking piece ✌️
